RED Campaign
Hey =)
Mr. Fisher told us this week in school that we had to write two posts about our Required Readings in our Bloglines accounts. It took me a while but I’m going to try and do both of them now.
I decided to do a post on the Red Campaign. I found this post on the Nata Village Blog in Africa, I suggest you read it. It’s really well written!
Bono, from the band U2, asked companies to make a red product and give a portion from the money they made from that product to fight AIDS in Africa. I think this is a really good idea, because there are so many people dying from AIDS, and hopefully this campaign will help to stop it!
Look at that iPod Nano! It’s red! Did you know $10 of people’s purchases of this product will go to fighting AIDS? I think that a red iPod Nano is an excellent idea, because more and more people everyday are buying iPod Nanos. Want to know more about this? Click here.
These outfits were designed by Gap Clothing. I think this was another good idea, to make red clothing, because I know that a lot of people buy from Gap. Hopefully a lot of money from these red articles of clothing will go to fighting AIDS!
Oh…my…gosh! I love these shoes! I have a pair of black and white converse shoes, but I must say…these are pretty awesome too. I’d buy them in a heartbeat! Oh yeah, about the Red Campaign. 5% of the profits made from these shoes will go to fighting AIDS! I think this product will rack in a lot of money. After all, these shoes are awesome, and I see a lot of people wearing Converse All Star Shoes in many different colours. Hopefully a lot of people will wear red ones now. Click here to read more about this.
I encourage you to check out the sites I have provided links to about the RED Campaign. They have some really good information, and hopefully you will buy these products. After all, some of the money made from these products will go to AIDS in Africa. I think that’s a really good idea!
