PLN
Hey =)
A while back in computer class, we set up accounts on Bloglines. Bloglines allows you to subscribe to sites with RSS, and when you subscribe, it shows you when that site’s been updated and you just have to check it out on your Bloglines account. RSS feeds are needed to subscribe to a site. If that site doesn’t have RSS, you can’t subscribe to it, therefore see when it’s updated.
PLN stands for Personal Learning Network. Everyone in my class has a Bloglines account, therefore we all have a personal learning network. A PLN is a bunch of blogs and/or sites you subscribe to that help you learn.
My PLN has mostly blogs, mostly owned by my classmates because I like to see what’s new with them. I also subscribed to a blog called Second Opinion, because he has a lot of posts that you can comment on and leave your own opinion. I subscribe to mostly blogs because I don’t go on a lot of websites, and pretty much all of the ones I do go on don’t have RSS. I subscribed to a photography site, and I get updates of whenever pictures that come in. I haven’t been commenting very much lately, but on Second Opinion I have been a lot. I am trying to comment on other people’s too though. Especially people around the world…and my classmates or people I know. I haven’t dropped any blogs in my Bloglines, but I might soon if I find that there’s one I don’t like. Who knows.
So…that’s pretty much my PLN. Everyone in my class has one because we all have Bloglines accounts. What’s in your guys’ PLN’s?
