Artistic Graphing

Post on May 30th, 2006 by chipsey-101

Today in Math, we did “artistic graphing.”

We were assigned pages in our math textbook, with examples of artistic graphs. Artistic graphs are just like bar graphs, but they are more interesting. For example, if your graph was about surf boards, instead of drawing bars you could draw surf boards. Anyhoo, the grade sevens did a graph about shoes. What most of us did was draw the graph on graph paper, then cut it out and glued it to white paper. The graphs were quite small, so we coloured in the rest of the space. I drew roads around mine, considering our graph was about shoes. They looked pretty good when they were done.
